GEMS 4.6 Re-sync Fleet, Poole or Swindon

Hi everyone, if you read my last thread you will see having a bit of an epic getting my 1998 4.6 HSE started. Almost certain it needs ECU to BeCM re-sync. Just used a hired sync mate but it failed to communicate with BeCM giving one red flash. OBD11 connectors look good and vehicle had a successful scan a couple of weeks ago before I bought it.

Car is near Fleet but if can't get it started will be towed to Poole or Swindon. Has anybody got either another sync mate for GEMS engines or a more in depth diagnostic capability such as Hawk Eye ? Would be happy to pay for your time and services. Preferably near Fleet to avoid towing charges.

Any help appreciated.

Yep and as is typical with most newbies - he posted twice, back in July, obviously got it sorted out and never came back to offer a solution or to help others out....not very forum-sporting if you ask me....

It erks me people post using words like 'URGENT' or 'PLEEEEAAASSSEEE HEEEEELLLPP' and then when we go out of our way to offer our time and advice, they take it and feck off without even closing out the thread with a solution that will help others....

Yes not very helpful. I guess it probably was re-sync or he would have needed more help. Did not spot the date on it. All suggestions so far much appreciated. Fairly sure we have found the problem just need proper diagnostics now. Unless anyone can think of something obvious that's been missed?
