Gearbox synchro

Hi all me again can anyone tell me if changing a gearbox synchro is a job you can do your self on drive or is there a lot more to it. 2001 discovery 2 td5 manual. It’s catching/grinding in 3rd if I double clutch or wait a second before selecting 3rd it’s fine.

If you have all special tools, can be done (how to can be found on internet). But to have all special tools, press, measuring devices which needs for a correct job is very expensive. Ask a specialist to do or a get a rebuilt one from Ashcroft.
