Gearbox replacement list??

Hi all. Going to be replacing the gearbox on my 300tdi truck cab and wondering what I need before I start? So far on my list I have.......

Clutch kit
Bolts
Gasket kit
Oil
De-greaser(cleaning the transfer box)

Can't think of what else I'll need but want everything there before I start it. Cheers.

just the gearbox r380? not the transfer?

might want to replace the spigot bush, mayb estick on a hd fork. also wise to do rear crank seal when it's off.

also gearbox and transfer oil. see if the boxes are leaking and fix any seals, etc

Yeah just the gearbox. Going to do the Crank seal while it's all off. It's only a cheap high mileage gearbox going in but the one that's coming off is going to get reconditioned and fitted when needed again. Getting a hd clutch and fork. I'm hoping the transfer box is good as I've not driven the car yet. Bought it as spares or repair knowing the gearbox was shot.

Why dont you get spare reconditioned and put that in when ready. save doing it twice?

Because it's my new toy and I want it on the road now!!! Bit of a gamble how long the gearbox will last but supose it's only a couple of days work when it does go!!

cool it'll be good practice anyway

I'd change the gearbox & engine mounts whilst it's all apart as well.
