Just went to use the RR to nip to the shops and greeted with "Gearbox Overheat" message. The engine appears to be disabled as it won't start, won't even turnover. It's not a flat battery or anything as the lights don't dim when you try to start the car. It's a 1998 DSE manual. Tried to see faults via my Nanocom but it keeps saying that it can't communicate with the ECU despite trying with the key in various positions. I'm now wondering if the manual gearbox even has an ECU? I'm guessing the sensor is a likely starting point. Any ideas would be welcome.
