Gearbox oil

HI Guys & Gals

Can some one tell me If the gearbox oil is not being cooled because the pipe work is blocked from the gearbox to the radiator what effect would this have on the gear box or changing gear

Not a lot. Don't forget that these cars were designed to pull loads up mountains or cross deserts. If all that you are doing is 'normal' day-to-day driving you're unlikely to cause any issues. I'd still put it fairly high on your to-do list though.

It may have an effect on the poor little pump trying to push oil around the cooling system.

and if no transfer pipe connecting top and bottom hole no pump feed to mainshaft

Its on my to do list just got to get the wifes MGf back on the road and it will be time to get on with it

If the gearbox lasts that long with no oil feed to the main shaft
