Stop fooking shouting FFS

& yes transfer box is separate to the gear box. google or search on here for correct oils. :D

yep, different and many different types. If you do a search on here you will find a wealth of information! you'll also need a 32mm spanner to undo the sump nut on the R380 box

MTF94 oil for gearbox (best place to get it is a land rover dealer - same price, no postage - around £28 for a 5 litre - capacity is 2.5L )
EP75/90 for transfer box & diffs

As mentioned, you need a 32mm ring spanner for gearbox drain, and a torx 55

You can't get a normal 32mm socket on the gbox drain there isn't enough room

You'll also need some sort of pump because both the gbox and trans fillers are hard to get at - suggest you can open the filler b4 you loosen the drain - just in case you end up with no oil, and no way to fill!!!!!

:hijacked:Would a large syringe do the job? Not done it before but my g/box & t/box are due a fluid change in April and I'd like to be prepared ... any thought's on which pump to get/use if syringe is not a possibility?

I use a 500ml syringe and a foot of clear pipe, bought it from a tool shop and works really well. Good enough for EP as well as thinner oils too - £8 to buy.

Thanks for that;), already use a large syringe for the diff's just need a fresh one & the tubing and I'll be sorted for the gearbox. Put my mind at ease that has:)

Just out of interest, if you have one already for doing the diffs, why do you need a fresh one.

With mine I pump in EP for the axles and trans box, MTF94 for anual gearbox and Dexron III for the autobox. I just take the top off and remove any surplus oil from inside the cylinder???

Was going to get a larger size syringe as the one I've got is only 60ml, biggest one my local chemist had in stock at the time.
