Hi all,
Im new to the forum but have had a Disco 2 almost a year now. 02 plate 2.5 diesel and the gear stick on a wonk!! basicaly when in neutral it sits to the left. when started from cold 1st and 2nd gear is stiff until it warms up then it changes fine! and ideas??
Have to change the starter in the morning as this has now given up!! lol all go!!

Any help will be great!!

afaik it's the springs that are below the stink expanding when it warms up a bit only going by what ive heard mate

theres a bias plate that hold a spring either side of gear stick ,so that stick sits in 3rd 4th gear alignment ,plate is adjustable by slotted holes ,the vertical piece breaks off ,can beweldedback or plate replaced

Re the gear lever, it's almost certainly your bias plate that's bust. replacement part from LR dealer. Easy job to sort out.

Thanks guys next job on the list!

just a quick one to anyone that looks im also looking for a set of 16" alloys wheels i would have put it on the wanted page but i can not access that page??
