Gear Box swap

The gearbox on my Disco2 V8 2000 and started to win, and just thinking ahead and fearing the worst. Would a geabox from a V8 RRC 1996 fit ?

If so would it be easier to move both gear box and transfere box from the RRC

Its just the RRC rust attached the back and i know the gearbox is fine as i had it for a number of years.

Manual or auto? If auto then no. If manual, try a oil change first

Actaully I may have jumped the gun there. If you '96 RRC is actually a P38 then it will be possible, otherwise it is a no.

Basically you are looking for a ZF4HP24EH box. This is one with the electronic shift and TC lockup.

no its not a P38 but classis with soft dash
