Gear box reverse switch. Freelander 2004

Hi. I have a freelander 1 2004 1.8 manual.
I am replacing the reverse switch located on the bottom of the gear box. Oil poured out the other day so I am assuming that's the gear box oil and drain plug? I have bought a new switch and new oil MTF94 (2 litres).
I found the filler plug removing the air filter housing and below that i am hoping is the filler plug on the top of the gear box. Would i be right??? Thanks for taking the time to read this and any comments.
