Gearbox diff oil change

Now me new second hand freelander 1 has past its mot I want to change gearbox and diff etc I have an old self bleed kit I want to turn into a gear oil filler does anyone know a good way of cleaning out traces of brake fluid from the bottle and the tubes??

I'd spent £15 and get a dedicated oil pump. I've been using one for years, it's good for draining and filling, which helps with the rear diff.

Thanks Nodge I was wondering as I Do not have a 36mm socket would a metalband as you use on metal oil can filters work for undoing the oil filler cap?

It would undo the filter housing bur possibly damage it. Get the socket as you'll need it every oil change.
