Hello from a new L/R Defender owner. Had a few Disco's and Range Rovers in the past but this is my first Defender. '86 90 2.5 diesel N/A.

Got a few jobs I want to sort, drop link rubber cracked, rust on rear quarters, doors. Part from that, I'll see how it goes. Might 200 TDI it if funds allow.

Was a dirty grey 'till I got the T-Cut out. Even windolene'd the windows and got the tyre dressing done..:eek: I think it's a first for the old girl. Going to scrape the badly painted bumper and do that tomorrow. I'm beginning to wonder if I've got that ADHD or maybe just caught ghey :confused:

Trouble is, when you clean things you start to notice things to put on the to-do list. Like the Colway remoulds starting to shed their skin :eek:

I take it when you turn the key just past ignition and the choke light comes on that this is the glow plugs heating? How long normally?

Hee hee, don't worry; that's just the pre-amble to getting her REALLY dirty :D
Yes it is your glow-plugs, they should only stay on for a few seconds :)
