Or they wanted a capable off road vehicle, which wasn't going to rust away after the first rain shower!

They don't rust away because they hardly ever make it out of the garage!

Peeps buy freelander's because they want a go anywhere vehicle, with power and comfort, on or oft road. They're cheaper than other lr products because the others are over priced.

They certainly are overpriced.

But it wasn't always that way. When I first started driving Series, you could buy a runner with a year's ticket for 500 quid, and they were much cheaper than the other available 4wds.
Obviously, this was before Defenders, Discos, etc. You could get Range Rovers, but they were always expensive.
