gauges not working

My 2002 Freelander 1 on wet and cold weather dashboard gauges not working but while driving all the gauges comes on and works fine.
any ideas please?

speedo normally reads zero when not driving. anymore help?

perhaps a few more clues might help everyone have a guess... what works, what doesn't, back lighting? any lights on? etc etc.

sorry for little information,
as my knowledge when you turn ignition on fuel gauge should go to its level and the RMP gauge should goes up when you rev the engine but my freelander doesnt do any of this on wet and cold weather conditions. i know the speedo only reads when you drive but it doesnt even do that for a while.
