Can u get away with out putting a gasket or sealent on round the rear diff when it goes on the back axle? or do u actually need one? cheers

silicone sealant is fine,they stopped fitting gaskets when 300 tdi was introduced ,just make sure surfaces are clean and oil free

not if you want to keep yer diff oil sealant will do though
