Is that stuff salvaged from the titanic.. Looks rather old and not stored properly. Bet that there is alot of dust/dirt in hose ends. 1 Question why would someone cut the hose off the gauges instead if undoing the fittings. Also the stuff is very dirty and some corrosion going on

Prolly stored in a dusty garage, we have those here ya know ...

and you cut the hose lines to protect the threads on the fittings and ensure old hoses are replaced, as they perish over time ...
