Hi Folks,

I am planning to do some welding on the rear outriggers. What should I disconnect to protect the electronics prior to welding. Battery Obvs, but what else? Alternator? ECU? I've never done any welding on a vehicle so I've no idea what's sensible.

Many thanks in advance

Battery as always and the alternator as a safety. Logically if these both are disconnected then there are no other risks as there are no connections from the live supply to complete any circuits. Ecu's, that's your choice;) nothing wrong with being cautious :D

Battery is the key to breaking the circuit, in my opinion. Especially if it's a 3 day effort plus satanic ritual involvement to disconnect anything else!!
