Just thought I'd do an update on the few jobs that I have done to my Freelander, got my gap IIDTool BT from Island 4x4 and was able to turn off the auto fold rear view mirrors, a necessary evil when living up here in the north of Sweden. Fitted a Witter tow bar which went quite smoothly apart from one bolt that wouldn't quite fit but with a bit of jiggery pokery finally got it in place. Again the Gap tool came into its own and I was able to tell the cars computer that a tow bar was fitted. The next job is to fit the engine warmer, I have brought a Calix system that introduces a heater into the coolant system. I'll try to take some photo's when I do it and post them here.

ok here are the photos of the very limited space in which to cajole the 2 pipes where one use to be. the pipe your connecting into is the one behind where my finger is pointing, with the clamp still on it. In the second picture you see where i have squeezed to 2 pipes and jubilee clips in to what is a very limited space. But it works and i have integrated the bluetooth system so no frozen timers not turning on. I hope :) calix pipes 1.JPG calix2.JPG

I guess to save the motors when they're frozen solid.
yep, exactly, can hit -40c here and a meter of snow, already have 10 cm on the ground now and it will stay until May. Temperature can go above freezing which then melts the snow all over the mirrors then freezes solid, and high chance of burning out motors.
