what about getting a bare one or stripping yours and then spraying it yourself? Dont think its as good as getting it done properly but could do the job for you

This is what you want, some sort of sacrificial anode. I am looking for something like this for my 110 to stop the rust altogether. Cheaper than a full galvanised chassis.

Martyr Anodes – Zinc, Aluminum, Magnesium Anodes for Pleasurecraft and Commercial Craft

I think they only work if constantly wet in salt water ie on a boat. Maybe wrong though but if they are cheap and effective why dont the manufacturers fit them and save on corrosion claims under warranty?

Apparently this only works if its in the water.

I wonder if I get a bucket of salt water and put the anode in the bucket and run a wire from the adode to my chasis? Only when parked of course.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
