I'm rebuilding the calipers on the 90 with ss pistons etc this coming week (parts ordered for that). I would also like to split all the calipers and replace the gallery seals while i'm at it, but can't find the appropriate parts to order bits in advance of starting the work.

Does anyone know part numbers and quantity's for the following please? :)
1) gallery seals (front and rear)
2) caliper bolts [the ones that hold the castings together] (front and rear)
3) caliper mounting bolts (front and rear)

The vehicle is a 1994 defender 90 with solid discs, no abs. Front calipers are 4 pot's, rears look to be smaller (perhaps 2 pot's).

Cheers

I think I got my seals from island 4x4 but was told there are 2 or 3 different types so had to send them an old one to compere.
However.....I've since rebuilt them again recently and reused the old seals which looked perfect. I then rebuilt a friend's disco rears and the calipers looked original so 20yrs old and the gallery seals were mint in them as well. I've always reused the bolts holding the two half's together.
Never had a problem but it's your choice of course.
Caliper mounting bolts? Don't know the part number but someone will.

Given the age of the vehicle i would rather change them while there (the seals at least), since it is brakes and all. OFC if i have no other choice then so be it.

According to 'shop4autoparts' lockheed only used 3 types of gallery seal in land rovers, if that's true and i might just order a bunch of each and return the unused parts. Emailed em but it's the weekend now ofc.

OFC??
Forgot to say that all the seals were the same on my 4 pot fronts, 2 pot rears and the disco. They look like sections sliced off a tube of rubber. They are viton I believe so are very resistant to deteriorating if at all.
Of course, I appreciate your concerns I'm just saying that the old and new looked and felt identical with the same amount of flex and suppleness.

OFC = of course :) I don't doubt that they are good to re-use, i could have worded that better. Just meant for the price, if i can get em sorted, then great. :)
