Evening all, hope someone can shed some light on this,1999 4,6 HSE.Turned on lights and msg centre informed me fuses12,13,14,15 had failed? stereo went off, came back on and req code, checked all fuses all good. The only thing that don't work is passenger side[car is LHD] front and rear sidelights and dip and main same side, thing is none of these fuses supply the lights? All advice would be grateful, thanks in advance.

Mine ('97 DSE) does this with the fuses when I indicate right or flash main beam.
I'm having a second hand BcEM fitted tomorrow. Will post how I get on.

Dodgy connections to the BECM?? Bad earths????

corrosion on BCEM PLUGS mine had all the crap you described and I cleaned plugs and fuse box.

have removed BECM cleaned all terminals with contact cleaner, refitted, still the same but now sunroof, and n/s/r window inop and windows will not set? any ideas,am thinking BECM needs looking at, thanks in advance.

May be your centre console switch thats causing the problem with window and sunroof setting - the one that operates sunroof and windows and mirrors- they are well-known to pack up at any time. Easy to install luckily - only takes around 10 minutes or so. Buy from a place with good provenance as a lot of duff switches are dumped on ebay. Not cheap of course :((

Got mine back today, all sorted.
Turned out to be one on the main power feeds to the left of the fuses had come loose and was almost setting the sound deadening to catch fire!!!
Came back from the garage with ALL my faults cured.
:-
Over heating indicated but cured by operating rear wiper!!!
Fuses 12 - 15 showing as blown.
'Wild' fuel guage.
Dodgy indicators.
Rear wiper with a mind of its own.
Bouncing C/L.

I'm now a happy camper as I was gonna flog the shed if I couldn't get things sorted.

p38 electrical connections are prone to attack by moisture, which is handy for a 4x4!

usual suspects are fuse box connections and circuit board, connections inside doors and connections on passenger side near/under glovebox/side of footwell!!

and of course becm connections!!
