After a few days of checking through all my electrics I've discovered that 2 or 3 of my fuseable links have gone
Was told that a good upgrade would be to fit a 300tdi's engine bay fuse box instead of the old style fuseable links just wondering if it's as easy as it looks or does it involve some electronic wizardry cheers

Not that I've done it but it can't be that hard can it?

Wire in
Fuse
Wire out?

Or you can get waterproof inline fuse holders, maybe just fit some of there?

Rich.

Off out now to scrounge a few inline fuse holders for when the result of 'SODS-LAW' happens

Best done in the dry :) so disconnect the battery and remove the existing rapping to expose each wire and identify citcuits, cut wire one at a time and with making allowances to terminate at the fusebox extend with equivalent rated wire on both sides, with a soldered joint insulated with heat shrink sleeving, repeat with the remaining wires.
Fit fuse box inner wing and terminate the high amperage wires to 'in and out' terminals on the lower level of the box, lower rated wire (if you have any) to the top, install correctly rated fuse links also fuses to the top level as required.
Re-wrap any exposed wiring with tape to form a nice looking loom...job done
Shouldn't take more than 1'1/2 hours with a tea break ot two. :)

I'm glad it's POETS day. Sent via my iPad Air in a pub.
