fuse blowing

the fuse that supplies the speedo ,rev counter and fuel guage etc in my 98 300tdi disco1 keeps blowing ie change fuse turn on ignition and it blows anyone had this happen or have any pointers as to where to start looking?took the dash around the steering wheel apart seen all them wires and put it back on sharpish thats why i love the simplicity of the series and defenders

Mek sure theres no bare wires/bad connections to any of the equipment being supplied with power, anything that could be shorting it out really. What I would do is basically follow the whole system to see if theres anything that looks out of place. Not sure that that is any help but you never know lol!

as above, check nothing is shorting out, what amp fuse are you using?

I have a 10 amp fuse as thats what should be in there but i did try a 20 amp and that blew straight away as well
will have to get the dash off me thinks

save yoself some munney, long term and buy yoself a re-setable fuse. or even a circuit breaker
