Full Service Cost

Hi

I Just wanted to get a feel if this garage is quoting me a good price for a full service?

Company is Promec 4 x 4 in South Wales and a quoting £250 + VAT for full service, a good price?

Engine service,suspension included???

As far as i understand it, all oils, suspension, pollen filters, etc.

Don't know if this means engine service or not

mine came with a fsh and they were costing between £500 & £800 each. that said, he was paying for bulbs,wipers etc to be changed at £100 per hour !

At £250 for a full service im suprised you hung around long enough even to ask!!

Some places seem to charge crazy amounts for a service if its on anything other than a Ford Focus! i was quoted near on £500 in 2003 for a service on my old 3.9 classic!

AGREED....get it done before he changes his mind

I'd check to see what it includes to be fair...Had a "FULL" service on mine recently only to get it back and find out the gearbox fluids were below minimum!

Only took it to him cos I was going away and didn't have time to do it meself...

I think he knocked £20 off as it was a manual. Off next week so will book it in for then. Also a LR specialist with full diags, I will give it a go and report back.

OK

Will get it serviced this place and give a report (as above), but as I have the workshop manual will follow the serivce guide in the manual (gulp) in future including taking the wheels off as it recommends. Good thing though no diagnostics required.

Still not booked the service but will sort it soon

Only other thing was having the air only blow onto the screen which the workshop manual says is either the distribution servo or the distribution flap. Same workshop is quoting £420 + VAT to remove the dash replace the motor and O-rings to the heater matrix and refit. I think this is a wicked price but wanted your thoughts on it as I may get it done at the same time.
