was recommended a garage by a mate of mine, just booked the freelander in for a full inspection, £40 happy with that, fingers crossed I will be after the inspection too (tuesday) I'll post the results if its a ****ter or not:)

inspections are free up my way they think a free inspection leads to work not in my case but they can check for free all they want saves me the hassle lol

so, had the inspection today, and yes I have a list, and although the mechanic say's he can do these bits and pieces, his advice as I've only had the car a week, is to drive it and get used to it, nothing overly dangerous

so I'm sure I could replace/repair a few of the items mentioned, with a little help/pointers from forum members, and just get them to do the harder bits (if need be)

near side windscreen washer leaking (myself to fix)
both rear stop lights not working (oop's) (myself to fix)
gear change excessive play (he said the little pin??) (could I fix this)
couple of oil leaks (who hasn't)
one around the cam side (should I worry bout this fix)
one around the turbo (didn't even know I had a turbo) (no idea on fixing this)
offside front disc worn (told not to worry bout it)
excess play on nearside roll bar link (reckon with instruction I could fix this)
centre prop damper insecure/faulty (garage?)
diff mount broken (garage?)

so, come on you freelander lovers, what bits are easy for a non mechanic to fix
