Fuel tank guard

having just had to replace the fuel tank on my 90 (tank under drivers seat) following an incident with a rock. I would now like to add a tank guard, I've had a google and found various, different styles, different materials, different prices. Ive also searched on here but not found much about them.
Any reccomendations or comments ?
