I've been thinking, for those who need cradles sooner rather than later, that I could rework people's existing cradles on an exchange basis using a holding deposit which is refunded (it would work out about half the cost of a whole new unit).
As long as your tubing and other framework is in good condition, I could just fit new, thicker, plates and take your existing cradle on an exchange basis.
If I can get enough interest in doing it this way from people (along with a commitment from whoever buys that they'll get their existing cradle back to me within a few working days otherwise their deposit would be lost) then I can just get a batch of the plates lasered and bent up, then get the whole units shot blasted, zinc primered and powdercoated with the new plates fitted.
The cradle i've got sat at mine currently has pretty good tubing, but the remains of the paint is holding the metal plates together. Its a darn sight easier for me to rework them, and quicker too as long as I can get a steady stream of cradles sent in.
