I am fitting a new fuel tank to my 1969 2A.

I need a new fuel feed elbow pipe. This looks like the one, but it doesn't explicitly say it's for Series vehicles...?:

I also need a new sender unit as the old one is beyond trust or repair. This is a bit more interesting. My old one had only one terminal and no dedicated earth. These new ones have an earth and an additional 'low fuel warning' terminal too. I can add an earth to the chassis if it's needed, and I can ignore the warning terminal until and if I want to wire one up.

Paddocks stock two options. The first comes with instructions that talk about soldering the float rod to the right length(!?), the second claims to fit all SWB and LWB with no special fitting instructions and is far cheaper (it's a trap!?):

Dingocroft stock one too - but the top looks like white plastic, which is a bit off-putting, for me at least:

Has anyone fit a new sender unit to their Series landy recently? If so, which model did you buy and does it work satisfactorily?

The old ones :D

Thanks all, I've ordered an elbow pipe and opted for an OEM sender unit that matches the one I took off. It didn't cost much more. I understand these are intended to earth through the tank metal to the outriggers and chassis, so I'm going to brush off some paint from the tank and outrigger bolt holes with a drill and wire brush - just the inside faces to help the earth. If I'm barking mad as usual, tell me.. :) - it's just I know my welder earth clamp can't get through Chassis-in-One without stripping some off first. :)
