Hello again!
On my series 3 in line with the fuel line going to the carb, there is a silver metal cylinder with 'fuel save' written on it, i've never seen or heard of this, does anyone know what it is or what it is supposed to do? Was on when i got it, just never asked if the guy fitted it!

Cheers

I think yu "heared" rite.
they do spend ya munney tho. - best thing is to leave it on fur a couple of tank fuls of petrol - check ya mileage, and then take it orf - see if there is any diffrence...

It begs the question, if things like this worked and were that good - why aren't they factory fitted or at least an option from the manufacturer of all vehicles?

If they really cut 'harmful emissions' why are they not required by law?

Simple really - it's because they're bollix ;)

Aren't they supposed to make your engine capable of running on unleaded?
I would get my engine properly converted which mine luckily is.
I've seen them on k-jet injection systems just cut into a very high pressure fuel line, not good.

Well i knew somebody that had one of these and they got so fed up of it they just looped it round and left it in there but disconnected it they are a bit as they say in france **** so i wouldnt have one!!

Mine is supposed to be unleaded head and i don't see any problem with it running on unleaded so i think i'll do a bit of testing with and without it see if anything happens! More pressing requirement of new hub seal, transfer seal and the swivel ball oil is leaking now the weather warmer, think a bit o one shot will do for the moment, busy moving house! well not that busy obviously!
