I have a 2006 Freelander TD4, had from new so had regular services. It has done 66k. A couple of days ago I noticed a whirring sound coming from back right hand corner. Yesterday my OH was driving car and said when he got into 3rd gear it had no acceleration, was OK in 1st and 2nd. I also noticed that the Rev counter was running higher than normal in 1st and 2nd. Been doing a bit of online searching and wondered if I had a faulty fuel pump? Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?
