Fuel pump replacememt.

Hi.just wondering how much we should expect to pay to have new fuel pump fitted at a garage.been quoted £450 +vat just for the pump plus approx 4 hours labour.its for a defender 110, td5,03.plate.thanks

Am guessing that's a main dealer!!!

Would expect an Indy to be c£150, but as OSD advises, not the hardest job to do yourself (albeit more hassle on a 110 than a 90)

you can buy a bearmach pump for around £100 on ebay

Im unable to fit it myself but garage will fit it for me if i supply the pump.they are checking the old pump first in case the filter at the bottom is clogged.

If it's a genuine pump and their dropping the tank I can see how they got to £450... Genuine pumps are £££

assuming it's WFX000280 britpart sourced vdo (which i believe is oem) is £171.43 +vat on lrdirect
