Fuel pump position

Dose any of you boys out there know wether this style fuel pump has to be mounted up right or can i mount it with the brackrts upwards/fuel pipes down

If you want it mounted that way I'd strap it vertically to the chassis using some good strong cable ties, not sure if it'd work as well upside down although you could test it indoors with a battery and tank of water

thats were it is, in a big ball of mud and sh*t ,with a fillter next to it.
a #### to get to when s eat box is back in
 
I've had another look at it and a cup of coffe and a think.
Im gunna do wot the Doc says and refit it under the bonnet
 
I believe they're mounted low on the chassis cos they're not able to pull/lift fuel very well.
 
I've seen them near the fuel tank, pushing most of the fuel (like mine) and I've see them under the bonet pulling most of the fuel,
I allways thought they were universal as the distance is'nt that great
 
After wiping off all the mud I have found out it is a Facet pump(make)

I've done some mooching on the web and found people mount them vertically and its better pushing than pulling
