Fuel pump for SU Carb.

I am looking at putting an SU 44 carb on my 2.286 3MB 8:1, I been looking but cannot find any info on whether the mechanical fuel pump on my engine will be appropriate for the carb or whether I would have to go electric. Anyone got this carb on their engine that can point me in the right direction.

I think that's the SU i have on mine with the float Bowl underneath, not on the side? I'll have to check.
I use the standard mechanical fuel pump and never had a problem

Actually it might be hif6.. though i think they are quite similar.. i think it came off a Rover p6
