OK Guys

Off the beaten track, but what is the highest price per litre of diesel out there, the garage in plymouth i use is £1.06. How much does the goverment take of this i wonder.

If you look up the C&E site you can look at the different duties paid on different fuels, for example, low sulphur diesel incurs a lower charge however it’s slightly more costly to make so it ends up costing more in the end anyway!

ULSD was 42.99 a litre and ordinary diesel 44.99 a litre, petrol 43.99, that was in 1998, so gives you an idea (can't find current prices).

Went past me local tescos today thinking it might be a bit cheaper but it was the same price as me local esso place which is usually the most expensive. So I just got meself some veggie whch is still 67.something a litre, hasn't gone up in line with the other "fuels" in the last couple of weeks:)
Tesco was 107.9 for diesel btw.

Last time I looked in Tescos it was £2.21/3L which is 74p/L

was that Bangor or Holyhead?

Filled my V8 cortina up at tesco the other day from almost empty and it took £47, £2.30 off with the 5p per litre off voucher took it to £45. 102.9 p/l at the pump. OK so the price of fuel has gone up by a few pence over the weeks but seriously, £2.30 more for a tank full, is it really worth harping on about? Yes it takes the **** but there's nothing we can do about it. If you don't like it, buy a smaller car!

My cortina fitted with a 3.5 V8 does nearly 30 to the gallon so I guess i got the best of both worlds, a V8 with good economy.

£1.09 in Oxford... funny how petrol seems to be hugging the quid mark still.
seems 6 months ago there was only 1p between them, makes one wonder are us oil burners paying for Mr BMW's juice?

Now if you were to go on about the price of beer how ****in much is that per litre. An I know some sad gits that spend more on water a month than they do on fuel an they could get it fer free if they turned the tap on, water that is not fuel.

Do you all know that the tax is a stealer-job ...

They add the 17½% VAT to the full fuel cost INCLUDING the fuel tax

So we are being forced to pay tax on tax.

Meantime our beloved socialist politicians are accepting illegal secret money from millionaires.
