Hi
I bought a new pipe from Land Rover - 200tdi lift pump to filter body. I have air leak and looks like the pipe didn't seal in pump - i think I just need a new olive to try again but what size is it and where to get them?
I'm guessing 6mm but only want to change it once more!
Does anyone know that answer please?!?

Point to remember is all rigid and semi rigid pipe is measured OD and any flex pipe is measured ID.
Your nylon semi rigid pipe will either be 8 or 10mm OD
I would look on ebay for the oilve, theres various types, barrel, taper, steeped, cutting ring, so look at yours and the pics to work out what you have at present.

Flow is 10mm od, return is 8mm od.
I've no idea of the arrangement of olives or whatnot or even the type/sizes cos I junked my lift pump years ago and fitted a facet leccy one.

Same here did that about 2 yrs ago and its been no issues since, have you noticed even with pump switched off the performance doesnt seem to be down much at all, almost as if the original mech lift pump as well as helping was also a restriction on the fuel supply especially when it died.

Yes, mine started making death noises when I was miles from home , I pulled the fuse expecting it to die ( the engine that is) and it made no noticeable difference and thats on a rear mount tank on a 110.
I've got a new pump but not fitted it yet.
