Hi out there, I just bought a 2004 td4 and it seems to be leaking fuel from underneath the engine bay. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? plus i need to change oil/oil filter and fuel filter, any advise and pictures? Spencer

If its collecting on the under tray.......usual suspect if all injector pipes are ok is the high pressure fuel pump.
It's on the engine block approx where the oil filter is located.
Try opening the bonnet 1st thing in the morning and start the engine....you'll find fuel leaks from one of the piston caps for about a minute until it gets a bit of heat in it and seals itself up.
You can get a new seal kit for it but you will need a timing chain lock down kit to do the job.
If you do a search I think Andy Mcintyre changed his and has a link to his web site or in a garage approx £600 for a recon to be fitted.

H P fuel pump leak will show on the drivers side front corner of the under tray (through the holes ) cost me £400 in a garage for a recon pump , then it leaked again after 2 months , same as before so it had to be replaced again  that's been ok for 6 months . I could not see where on the pump it was leaking from , but it was ! The fuel filter is located in the drivers side rear wheel arch , do a search ! pic 3 is the fuel filter/LP fuel pump/ and tray !

I need this green 'clip', does anyone know what it's called or better still a part number please ? It's fits on the fuel pipe from the sender to tank.

the clip is a retaining clip but I do not know if you can get one but maybe some one else might know or even go to a scrap yard and get one also my hp pump is leaking and it goes in on Monday as I am not to well the garage is going to get it professionally over hauled that will cost £200 and £80 for taking it of and putting it back but they are borrowing the special tools of me, but I do not mind it is a garage I know and can trust. I have been told they usually leak on the front , so that is why I have grease like all over the front end of the engine

Thanks Teddy. I had thought that i would need to visit some breakers yards to get it. Already on the case. Hope you and your Landy and both up and running well soon. Thanks again.
