Fuel leak - injector pump?

My 96 D1's 300Tdi engine (this is an EDC engine) has been dripping fuel since late last fall and in the past week the amount has increased.

Diesel is all over the side of the engine and the firewall. It's hard to tell where it is coming from because it doesn't appear to be leaking while it is sitting idling, and when driven the air coming in around the engine compartment can whip the leaking fuel around and spread it everywhere. The drips onto the driveway are everywhere; from the front of the engine to the sway bar at the back of the engine. At first I thought it might be the front injector, so I replace the copper washer, not change. I then thought I could see a mist from the fuel return hose, so I replaced that, no change.

In just the last couple of days I've noticed a sizeable puddle under the injection pump. The injector pipes coming out of the pump are tight and the low pressure fuel pipe into the pump is also dry. Is there anywhere else that fuel could leak from the injector pump?

Thanks Neilly. Mine is a 300Tdi EDC and doesn't have a throttle spring pivot. I have noticed that the top of the injector pump, where the throttle spring would be, is dry.

o ring around the distributor head, seal on that egg shaped thing at the bottom in the pic are common places.
I had a pipe which wasn't sealing perfectly on the top of an injector once. It was such a fine spray I could barely see it when idling but that made a mess when driving.

Well, yes, of course. :) I was thinking of putting a hydrocarbon absorbent pad under the inj pump first and letting the vehicle sit, see if that helps to pin-point the leak point.
