The loom is a bugger of a job to remove!!

Looking at the engine its the left side that was replace!!

I believe the injectors were re-installed correctly, ie replaced into original bank, however cant be sure off it.

hi @GerRRSportV8

many thks, it was just an idea , in that case can u get to both ends ok, ie, injector and ecu end

have been through some of my links to see if I can find the ecu for u

on the D3 which is very similar to the RRS the engine ecu is behind the battery inside a box that incorporates a fan

if it is there and same as D3 the transfer ecu is also there

Wouldnt hurt to remove the battery and put that on charge as it’s low , plus can also see if the ecu is there

have found details ref the 4.4 engine but as of yet not the 3.6 so trying to see if it’ in the same place as the D3

hope that helps

Hi @Datatek

may i pick ur Brains please , found the following m are the oscilloscope figures plse , ref the Kohms

many thks as always

Check the injector circuits. Refer to the electrical guides. Rectify as necessary. Disconnect the injector and measure the resistance and capacitance of the component. Resistance should be 180 to 220 Kohms, capacitance should be greater than 3 microfarad at 20 °C (68 °F). If the values are outside this range, install a new injector as necessary. REFER to: (303-04D Fuel Charging and Controls - TDV8 3.6L Diesel)

Hi @GerRRSportV8

slowly starting to find information

hope it at least starts to help

Ref codes , interesting where it says , short circuit to power, maybe that’s the reason because if the mega fuse blowing

Also wondering if u have an Inertia dual shut off valve Fitted

also meet the to ask, what diagnostics are u using plse , when u clear the codes what comes straight back plse

thks

So found the location of the ecm, left hand side of the engine as u look at it

cant believe it took me this long to find the info as I started looking for it last night , I must be slacking but at least I know @GerRRSportV8 appreciates it

hope there’s enough info to help

Plus I think this is right ref selecting the correct engine

Injector colours - black / white , green/ white so thinking then op can with a multimeter do a continuity test with the battery off from the ECM and too the injectors

12.35 volts is bad and will drop even low as you try to start, give it a good charge then leave it to stand for half hour and retest. iirc less than 12.4 is a goosed battery.

12.4 half an hour after coming off charge is not a lot of good, should be around 12.8 volts, if it drops below 12.6 after half an hour it's not got much capacity left..

update
No further forward, checked all the wiring, cant see any breaks, im now thinking ECU, or if there is such a thing as ECU fuse, maybe something went bsd when the mega fuse blew, is it located behind
the battery?

hopefule my noid kit comes today so i an check the pulse properley, was tbinking of an ECU from flea bay to see if it was gone, think they need programmed though to work properley?

I wouldn't worry about the ecu until the noid kit proves otherwise.
There is a company in England who can test and possibly repair your own if... It's damaged.
Ecu testing, is their name and you could give them a call maybe?
Not affilifiliflapped with them!!!
One step at a time my son:p;)

Plunged in to the wallet and bought the Hawkeye diagnostic, was like a dog with 2 dicks when i got home today :)

so its showing:

Low fuel presssure, actuator stuck open?

injector bank 1and 2 electrical failure P062D P062E.

Noid kit showed no pulse whatsoever?

Actuator, is that EGR valve?

Yea there sure is lol, cam rushing home like Usain Bolt

codes come back which I expected.

Recovering from work a mechanic carried oht, left it non start.

Wondering if I need a new loom or ECU
