Hi folks. i'm in the middle of replacing my 300tdi engine for one with considerably less miles on her.

however, it appears that i have overlooked a problem with the fuel injection pump. it's different to the one that is on my current engine.
where i am used to seeing the stop solonoid there is a black plastic block with three wires to a plug. here is a pic.

it also appears the the idle screw has been wound out for some reason. am i correct in assuming the black block is just a later type stop solonoid? can it be wired to work or do i need to be swapping injection pumps?

cheers

adam

to get to solenoid you need to break away the tamper proof cap ,one of the 3 wires going in will be an ignition live it can be wired to solenoid ,but pump has no immobilisation then
