had to get them to check out the back for some for me this friday as the shelf was empty and I wasn't leaving till my landy had had a drink :D

OK, it seems that their click and collect thing doesn't like anyone ordering over a certain amount of anything, let alone oil. And of course not a lot was in stock so they price matched a load of other oil and I got 105 liters for £84.

Just done my first 3 miles with some in it.

Don't use Sunflower Oil!
That's what they've substituted for me before.
It's not good for your pump.

I am due a service so I am going to change the fuel filter and keep a spare in the cab.

Does anyone run 2 stroke oil with veg oil or is it lubed enough?

Been using this for the last few weeks in my 90 and to be fair the engine runs a lot better on it. Much quieter and seems to have more pull to it. At 80p a litre i'm well happy. Problem is my garden is rapidly filling up with empty 5l bottles :whoosh:

i ran 250ml of red 2-stroke for every 50 litres of veg oil then topped the tank up with diesel

my 200tdi loved it well over 10,000 miles and no issues, replaced fuel filter 3 times

Excuse me for been unknowledgable about this, but are you guys saying you run your diesels on rape seed oil without any modifications except for fuel filter change?
Does this mean I could just throw it in my 200tdi and drive??? Sounds too good to be true

Yep, that about sums it up.

The downside is that my truck stinks like a chip shop and I'm knee deep in plastic bottles, but at 79p a litre I'm well prepared to put up with it.

There is a risk of veg oil causing lumpy globs of nastiness in your sump, especially in cold weather. Mixing the veg oil with a ratio of diesel (or petrol or whatever) apparently lessens said risk, lots of threads about the pro's n con's about it all on here.

seen as this good deal of 80p a litre of tesco's finest is ending on the 29th I just picked up 8 bottles to keep me going on a diesel/oil mix for a while longer. I have done no mods to mine to run it and it runs fine. I even had 2 cyclist ride past me in the cambridge traffic today and ask for some chips lol
