Fuel filter and pump

Hi all I did do a forum search and also see a similar thread lower down but can't quite see an exact answer. Having just bought my 2005 with 83k on I want to go through a few things on it and am starting with the fuel filter and fuel pump. So would you recommend buying genuine from Land Rover or my local car parts or somewhere entirely different? Mine is the inline pump.
I have noticed on the motorway if I hold the speed at say 60mph, it feels almost as if it's behaving like a petrol engine and one of the spark plug leads is off. When I accelerate, the slight hesitation goes. So going to go through all the things I think it may be one by one.

My advice would be to service it and change filters if due, but if trying to locate a fault seek to monitor the live data and any fault codes before changing expensive bits without real reason. I think with a 2005 you should be OK with a simple eobd reader. This will soon pay for itself!

Non Pierburg pumps, Pierburg is now called TI, are a waste of money. Thread below gives details and AF can supply the right pump. For filters I would say they all meet the spec.

OE pumps are the only pumps that should be fitted. The original was made by Peirburg, and is available although the Peirburg as company has now been absorbed by another and it appears the pumps aren't the same now. Other makes are available, but I'd also go through AF for them.

Now, being new here, I'm not yet familiar with certain terms. So what/who is AF?

So rather than Pierburg AF are recommending Beckerman. Anyone used one of these, are they good?

If that's what AF recommend, then go with that. They'll off a decent guarantee so there's little to worry about.
