fuel eco

hi all this is my first landy with a 200tdi engine so i have nothing and no one else to compare figures with. i get about 250 miles aprox to a full tank of fuel. i havent been offroad yet just crusing about 55mph on main roads so i havent realy loaded up the engine yet. is this the right amount of fuel consumtion on a 200tdi. i have yet to service the engine. so i dont have any before and after figs. regards

If its a 5 gallon tank then thats fantastic...if its 10 then its average...do a service for your own peace of mind.

I get around 30 mpg from mine on a run if I stick to 70. I regularly do 600 mile trip to France and some times thrash it a bit to 80 when the pain and boredom kick in. It'll do that quite happily but fuel consumption rockets! It's a 110 200tdi hard top. Make sure the timming belt is changed as part of the service if you don't know the history and use genuine parts for anything critcal. Pretty well bullet proof motor if you change the oil regularly.

Sounds about right, my 90 gets between 250-300 miles on atank, but mines generally only used on short trips at the moment.
