Filled up the TD4 today and out of my last tank from full to light coming on I got 456.3 miles from it not bad from a big old oil burner and a personal best for me

156 miles to a full tank????? :jaw: that cannot be right surely? Christ and to think I was grumbling at only getting about 180 miles from half a tank!

Have you got a 5 gallon tank or a neighbor siphoning ya fuel off? sounds way to low to me.

It equates to about 10 to the gallon? may as well buy a FWD Control for better MPG

Yikes - a shocker! I get pretty much 40mpg from the old L series and the Rangie does about 28mpg... must have meant 456.3 miles...

Sweet Jeez, that kind of fuel return would make a fast Jet pilot blush dude...by comparison a DAF XF must positively sip fuel like a shy debutant ferchrissakes!!

I have an 06 TD4 and always get at least 450 from a full tank.

I did once get almost 500 miles before I lost my nerve as I didn't want to risk running out of diesel.

I am sure if I wanted to, I could take it over 500.

I am no slow driver either. My car is like a rocket when I am on my way home from work!
