Hi All,

My front interior light wont work:(, I've checked the fuses and changed the bulb, it used to work when I first got the car but has stopped any ideas?

Thanks Andy :dnfnoob:

you must measure there in the holder to see what's missing, it must have permannent feed and the light-up command is on the earth path, from BCU on automatic and through the switch on manual... does it work if you manually switch it on?...if not the feed is missing, and as it's common for all 3 of them untill C0723(attached) the problem is between this header and the bulb holder, pin 15-purple wire must be the feed for front lamp, at pin 18(also purple) you must have permannent feed(do not mix the purple wires with purple/blue cos that's the earth path)

I'll grab a meter off the engineers at work tomorrow and check it out, thanks :)

Get a copy of the Rave wiring diagrams rather than the Haynes crayon drawings as it is easier to see what was what...

It may turn out that the main loom has been damaged near the under bonnet fuse box...

There may a bluish coating to the wires some of which may have been eaten all the way through, we had some on the screenwash pumps and headlights ...

RAVE is what i'm looking at and as i said the feed for all the 3 roof lamps is common( one wire) from the fusebox untill that header i attached, there it splits to the 3 lamps, so what you say it's wrong cos then no lamp would work... that's why i asked about that in the first place, if you see what i mean... believe me, when it comes about electrics i'm rarely wrong(...though it happens... but not now :))
