Well, after much deliberation I have decided to go for a standard Defender grill. £30 versus £200 did help with my decision. I have ordered a complete set of Timkin bearings for the back axle. Wheel bearings and diff, plus new half shafts. Hopefully that should sort out the whine coming from the back.

Looking good! Black bonnet looks nice, breaks up the colour. Though why does every buy Puma bonnets for older landys? Never saw the appeal myself.

I think the pink hue is cause by flash/spot lighting, just quite a light red.

The Puma bonnet is a statement! It says: I have a Ford engine that doesn't really fit this vehicle so the bulge is a bodge!!
It's a bit like the NOS stickers on the back of the 1.2 corsa that came free with 'Lax Power' magazine.
