Under my disco with a rain mac!
Could anybody tell me what the colours are for the front fog lights to plug into. I have installed the switch in the dash and found the connector ok. The yellow relay was already in place, but i can't find the wires around the slam panel to connect the fogs into!
any assistance greatly appreciated.

Maybe i could help u if i knew what kind of Disco u have ;)

Hi Sierrafery, Sorry for lack of info. I have a 1996 Discovery 300tdi.

u must find a multiplug somewhere around there for each fog light.......if u find hanging wires(presuming somebody cut the wires the colour for front fogs are blue with purple trace (+) and black (earth)

Thanks for info chaps, must try harder! Will take another look and poss have to go into loom to locate. Have had a good look around but someone has replaced original connectors on rear of lights at some stage, so could have cut them back.

I've just fitted the front fog light switch to my car, but cannot find the the connector for the switch. Could you tell me where your connector was and where the relay is also. Thanks.

I'll tell u if u dont mind.....the original front fog switch is on the left upper side of the steering column nacelle and the relay is R12 -> the first smaller from the inner row(near the brink) in the engine bay fusebox.

thanks.

I'll have another look

The front foglamp switch 'if fitted' would be positioned inder the clock and thats where you will the socket for the switch and the relay 'if fitted' is positioned with the others in the passenger foot well behind the kick panel.

The foglamp connection plug/socket is as the picture shows is behind the headlamp on a bracket, the two wires are black & blue.

Your right :doh::frusty: .... i forgot it's about a Disco 1... sorry, i've erased it

Silly Billy :D it was good information for a D2 owner..... u should have left it and just added " info for owners of a D2 only "

D2 owners dont need this kind of info coz on D2's everything is where it should be and all perfectly working ;) ................:hysterically_laughi

though in the unlikely case i'm wrong i'll put it back:)

Thanks for help Discool, mine have been removed by the look of it for some reason as definatly not there. Will have to go through loom to locate but believe they should be there, otherwise will have to run new cables from relay!:(

But your knowledge and info are second to non!
many thanks.

Really confused now, as you can see by the pics i have the relay in place, but no connectors for the fogs. Looked into the loom and no blue wire or spare black for fogs!
Will have to run new wires from the relay i supposed.
