Both front electric window mechanisms on my hippo have finally broke, heard a horrible crack/click yesterday and the glass decided to go up on a 45° angle; drove back home on the motorway with the glass flapping in the wind!

Dismantled the door card and managed to push the glass gradually up back to a fully closed position by a mix of short intervals of physically pushing the glass window base from the bottom and using the electrics.

Safe to say I think its knackered, not sure about any form of calibration, has anyone experienced this?

Cheers

Replacement cables or the complete regulator need fitting. Cables are an hour's work, the complete regulator takes less time. No calibration needed, just some adjustment of the glass once it's all back together. ;)

No I haven't experienced that. However, the mechanism isn't hard to take out and replace. I sounds like a cable has snapped. You can buy the whole set-up and fit the replacement, or to save a few £ you can buy the complete mechanism and swap your electric motor onto it, then reinstall.

Door card off - partially lower the glass and undo the 2 clamps which secure the glass - lift the glass out carefully from the top and put aside - disconnect the electrical connection - undo the 5? bolts which hold the mechanism in and remove it.
