front axle

hey.
i have a 1989 defender 90 and is in need of a new front axle. Been looking around and wounded what axles would it take with out having to chop or wield any brackets or such ?

How about a defender front axle? No welding required.

have just fitted a disco axle to the front of my 89er,.......uprated it from 10 to 24 spline diff...... only thing you might have to be careful of is if you get a td5 axle make sure you get the radius arms with it......slightly wider than older ones and you could have problems with the axle "ears" that they fit in......worth changing the radius arm bushes whilst you are axle changing too......just make sure you get the correct ones for the arms.

90 Front axles are pretty good why is it scrap? Jai

i have an 1987 90.. 1992 disco axle was a straight bolt on swap.. (the steering drop arm off the steering box is the only difference)
