Climbing up a bank, as soon as the front right wheel (from in car) touched the incline, something started squealing like crazy. I thought it was wheel bearings. When i parked up, i kicked the wheel, to check for side-to-side movement, and it looked like there was, but i think it could have just been the tyre.
So the next day, when i had some daylight, i took the front wheel off, having chocked the wheels and put it on axle stands, and i couldn't see anything wrong with it. No hub play, throughout a full 360 degrees, there was nothing caught on the disc, so i fired up the engine, put in in gear and let it run, and then came the very, very loud crashing and banging sounds from the front axle. I personally do not have the slightest clue as to what this could be other than diff or half shafts. Greased the prop, no difference, also tried slowing down the hub by putting the pads back in, to make sure it wasn't just slop, the noise was still there. There's something broken I'm sure. Any suggestions?
