after a lot of failures trying to repair this A Bar I’m hoping the following will work better

Every filler I used simply kept failing as the foam kept coming away , so bought some more foam that is alot more dense , hope that sort of makes sense

used my hot glue gun to secure the cable ties, then threaded it through the foam , found some washers but there metal so will find some plastic ones so there’s no risk of dissimilar reactions from the filler, reason using the washers as I thought then when I use another cable tie it should press against the foam so it fits snugly against the A Bar

Need to shape the foam so it’s fits alot better , can then use some more cable ties on the ends so it secures the foam to the A Bar , just wished to share in case this may be useful to others in the future , really hope this filler will work

wondering if it will be best to mix up little bit at a time so I can then gauge how quickly it goes off

Did try and add some more cable ties but very difficult drilling into the A bar foam as it wanders very easily

fingers crossed it works i then intend to spray the entire A Bar with textured spray paint

As always am very grateful for any feedback as don’t mind admitting need all the help I can get , extremely appreciative to see what u think of this idea plse , thank u

also wonder if a can of expanding foam might work , alas though don’t know how easy it will be to sand and if it will accept paint

This is what the A bar is constructed from so indeed need to ensure what ever fillers I use are comparable , as in PU and PE

many thks
