Thieves target 4x4 cars
Thieves have escaped with hundreds of pounds worth of parts after they targeted three Land Rover Discovery cars.

Rear, reverse and fog lights, worth £300, were taken from a vehicle parked at Marlcliffe Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield, between 5pm on Sunday, 10 November and 11am on Sunday, 17 November.

Meanwhile at Edmund Road, Highfield, Sheffield, the headlamps and indicators, worth £400, were taken from a car between 5pm on Saturday, 16 November and 2pm on Sunday, 17 November.

Both 4x4s had a 2003 plate.

And at 11.41pm on Sunday, 17, November, a thief took the front headlamps, worth a total of £400, from a Land Rover Discovery at Clayfield Avenue, Mexborough. The culprit ran off with the parts after being disturbed by someone inside the house who’d seen a person near the vehicle and gone outside.

South Yorkshire Police say it’s not clear at this stage whether the incidents are linked, but are urging anyone who sees anything suspicious to contact the Force on: 101.

Officers are targeting house burglary and vehicle crime as part of Operation Lockdown, which has seen nearly 500 arrests since it was launched last month.

Keep your eyes peeled on flea bay for your gear being sold, as for collection and go and tune them in.
My advice would be to mark them with smart water/micro dot type marking kit then you could involve the police if they could be arsed.
